I'm Spencer Nyaenya, an AI and software engineer who builds and ships end-to-end products — combining intelligent systems, full-stack engineering, automation, and cloud infrastructure to turn ideas into production software.

I'm a software engineer and AI engineer who enjoys turning ideas and real-world problems into working products. My work sits at the intersection of software engineering and AI — from backend systems and APIs to AI applications, automation workflows, and user-facing products. I'm comfortable architecting these solutions end to end, and I enjoy understanding how a system works as a whole rather than focusing on just one part of it. I like taking an idea from architecture and development all the way through to deployment.
What probably describes me best is that I'm curious, hands-on, and always looking for a better way to solve a problem. I enjoy digging into difficult technical challenges, learning whatever is needed to solve them, and building things that are actually useful rather than just impressive on paper. Whether I'm working on an AI system, a business platform, or something I've built from scratch, I care about making it reliable, thoughtful, and practical.

LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM
Legislative Bill lifecycle & voting system
A full-stack legislative management platform designed to support the complete bill lifecycle — from drafting and committee-stage clause voting to stakeholder review and real-time chamber voting. The platform also includes a cryptographic hash-chain audit trail to provide tamper-evident accountability across legislative actions.
What I built
Led the system architecture and owned the core backend, frontend, and database engineering, working collaboratively with the Parliament team where required. Built the real-time voting infrastructure using PostgreSQL LISTEN/NOTIFY and Socket.IO, an n8n layer for automated intake and notification workflows, and integrated Groq-hosted LLMs for AI-assisted legislative review. I also designed and implemented the custom authentication system and hash-chain audit mechanism from the ground up.
